Boats and dinghies:

Arvor 250, costing £60,000 when new. This is a fully equipped boat designed for specifically for fishing. Both Coastal and Estuary work. Picture above.

15' fishing boat with cuddy and engine. Estuary and Coastal.

14' Norwegian open boat with engine. Estuary and Coastal.

13' Aluminum flat bottom boat with engine. Good platform for fly fishing. Estuary only.

11' Rowing boat with engine. Estuary only.

8'6" Aluminum dinghy, 2 person. Estuary only.

 

General information and background:

Over the past 10 year the average annual Bass catch has been 235 fish with the highest in a single year being 524.

There are two distinct fishing 'season' during the year, say April to September and October to February. Please see the Total Sea Fishing (TSF) articles written covering these two seasons at summer Devon Knows Part 1 (summer).pdf and autumn Devon Knows Part2 (autumn_winter).pdf (these are large files, so sorry if they time to download)

There is also fly fishing for Bass as well as Salmon and Sea Trout in the river.

 

Food:

Devon is one of the best parts of the country for local produce.

Exceptional sea food: Lobster, Crab, Scallops, Mussels, Bass and other fish

And the finest meats, lamb, Beef and Pork from our local suppliers.

And of course don't forget Devon's clotted cream.

 

Transport and Communications:

Flying : Either Plymouth or Exeter airports from an ever increasing number of locations. We can also arrange for local transport to and fro the airports if required.

Rail : Plymouth and Totnes are our local stations

Local Transport : We have two of the latest Landrover Defenders.  A County 9 seater and a 5 seat crew cab

 

Accommodation

If you do not have any accommodation we can arrange your accommodation in one of our preferred local country pubs, handy for instant morning access to the fishing.
